Acceptable Use Policy

NexEd ERP is used to manage sensitive educational and administrative workflows. This policy helps keep schools, families, and students safe.
1. Purpose
- This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines rules for using NexEd ERP's Services, including web apps, mobile apps, and APIs.
- The AUP applies to administrators, staff, teachers, parents/guardians, students, and any third parties granted access by a customer organization.
2. Prohibited Activities
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, networks, or data.
- Uploading, transmitting, or distributing malware, spyware, ransomware, or harmful code.
- Using the Services to harass, abuse, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate against individuals.
- Scraping, bulk exporting, or collecting personal data beyond what is permitted by your role and applicable law.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to discover source code, except where permitted by law.
- Interfering with the normal operation of the Services (e.g., DDoS, excessive requests, circumvention of rate limits).
3. Data Protection Expectations
- You must follow the principle of least privilege and only access data required for legitimate educational or administrative purposes.
- You must protect credentials and enable available security features such as multi-factor authentication where offered.
- You must not share student or staff data through unsecured channels or outside approved workflows.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- Customer organizations are responsible for ensuring their users understand and follow this AUP.
- Customers must ensure that content uploaded to the Services (documents, images, messages) complies with applicable laws and institutional policies.
5. Enforcement
- We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action including rate limiting, suspension, or termination consistent with our Terms of Service.
- Where feasible, we will notify the customer organization and provide an opportunity to address violations.
